MDF
MDF, or Medium-Density Fibreboard, is a manufactured wood product created by breaking down hardwood or softwood remnants into fine fibres, blending them with wax and resin, and compressing the mixture under high heat and pressure to form sturdy panels. Known for its density, MDF often outperforms plywood in terms of strength and uniformity.
At Gando, MDF plays a central role in our Painted Door Collection and Fusion Finishes. Our MDF complies with the strict formaldehyde emission standards set by the California Air Resource Board (CARB), ensuring a healthier indoor environment. Its durability and exceptional resistance to wear make it ideal for painted lacquer finishes, as well as intricate artisan or handcrafted designs.
MDF is particularly well-suited for spaces with low humidity or significant seasonal fluctuations, such as cabins or cottages. Unlike painted wood doors, which are prone to joint cracking from seasonal shifts, MDF maintains its integrity, providing a long-lasting and reliable solution for painted finishes.

RIFT CUT WHITE OAK

Rift-Cut Oak stands out with its finer, straighter grain pattern compared to traditional oak, offering a sleek and refined appearance. However, due to its natural characteristics, you may observe variations in grain patterns, ranging from light to dark, even within the same piece.
